I did not get in. And, I submitted a lot of work. Even a book that in one
inch by 2. Would have created a piece for the show with Tobin if selected.
I did not like the process from the start. Even if I had gotten in. I
don't think it is right that we are spending $4000 minus what ever the
admission process brought in for a show that only a few of the members are
in. Most likely the ones that are always selected to those "special
shows." That said, usually when I'm not picked for a show it is due to the
fact that my work would not have played well with others in that show. I
do wish, however, that we would have a show like MPC had, for ALL members,
that was off the wall. We have so few chances to show that type of work
that is sad that when we do have an off the wall show only a select few
can show. Then it is back to all the rules and brown frames for rest of
us!
