Having a 92 year old artist mother with failing vision, who’s given up email, I’m unfortunately quite aware and respectful of the limitations some of our older members can have.

That’s why I was careful to amend several areas where US Mail was referenced and add a phrase along the lines of “...email, unless a request is made to be notified in an alternate way.”

In the first instance I clearly spelled out the alternatives as “by telephone or US Mail.”

Because I know you’re a stickler for following the written word, I removed the “in person” option so we don’t find ourselves committed to driving around the state giving people personal updates over coffee, in their kitchens.

I appreciate your concern for others and intend to make the point of these options very clear when we review the Bylaws changes during our meeting PPT presentation.

I think this is now a much improved modern version of our Bylaws, nice job, Maryly!

This reaffirms my strongly held position that the board should have time to see proposals in writing, discuss it among themselves before moving forward.

I emphatically vote NO. Mostly because of procedure. Also for the reason stated above.

The board approved the last version of the revised bylaws. Let that go through.
Table any proposed changes for the next group to tackle. This is too rushed with no meeting.
