Duly noted. I will be buying all the non-specialized items for Dan’s Workshop this week and I have no interest in participating in the workshop. At the very least you should put in to be reimbursed for your mileage, Maryly.

I don't disagree with the idea of reducing a fee for time spent on behalf of the whole but if the Board agrees to discount your workshop fee in return Maryly, then we should do so for Robyn Smith as well, who has been a liaison with Dan throughout this whole process, including making travel arrangements for him, getting the extended materials list, etc. If so, we should make it a policy adopted for all who offer to help pull together any workshop, going forward.

Just from personal experience, I find it extremely dysfunctional to make it the job of the President to be the catch-all and do all the legwork and manage all details for these events. Perhaps it’s because we don’t currently have VP replacement but I suggest the new Board review all the job descriptions to better meet the actual needs of CSP. For what it’s worth, i’m finding responsibility depends on a lot of begging and coaxing. Responsibility and ownership of each type of event should all be better defined upfront and I say this to help whoever takes on the role of President as of our May 19th election.

I would also like to take this opportunity to ask those of you who have not sent a bullet-point yearly summary to include in the PPT deck I am preparing, to please do so ASAP, even if it’s nothing to report. Though it shouldn’t be, if during the course of one year a Board member has nothing to summarize in terms of accomplishments then it means the position is superfluous.

Thx, H.

I agreed to buy the class supplies for the Welden workshop.
It has been VERY time consuming!
Multiple trips to the lumber, to Safeway, to OSH.
Because of traffic I’ve spent about 6 hours on this.
I would like to have my workshop fee reduced by some amount that you think it fair.
$200?
$250?

Input? Objections? I hope I get an annual report ready before too long!
