Dear Board,

The Opening Reception at NUMU for "Outside the Frame” was a success. And I had a chance to meet a few members of CSP I had not met before and whose work I was not very familiar with. The show is  well curated with a great variety of focuses and techniques. The layout and signage and the Spotlight Gallery are all very professional to witness. If any of you

For some reason the 3-fold educational brochures were not out, but I’m sure that can be corrected for the balance of the show, as I will message Marianne McGrath and the front desk to find them now.

The Artists' Bio Catalogue looks great! Helene worked her butt off trying to get all this graphic work accomplished in short order, along with all the other business and emails she and Joanna had to plow through.

And for the record, as to Events that I either organized or helped organize this last year, 2017, there was Catherine Levin-Lau’s Studio and Demo visit, Mary March’s Studio visit, and The Bancroft Library. I believe most of the other Events were put together by Luz and I believe Barbara Foster.

Due to all the family matters I am presently managing and the fact that the Annual Meeting and show afterwards in Richmond will take me 5 possible hours of driving plus the Events, I am backing out of attending. I apologize to all who hoped to see me there tomorrow. My wish is that new and younger members will join the Board going forward. We need some renewal. So the new Board Openings should help move that forward. And again please know that you may solicit my help on anything in the South Bay or the Monterey Bay going forward.
