Possible conflict with annual meeting robynn@cruzio.com 19 Sep 2018 22:44 PDT

Hello CSP Board,
I’m not really sure who is on the Board now, so I am hoping those of you receiving this will spread the word around before making a decision.
It has come to my attention that the Board is considering holding the annual meeting on Saturday May 4. As many of you know, the first Saturday in May is Print Day in May-a celebration of printmaking around the world. If somehow the meeting could include making prints, I would be in favor, but since that is unlikely to happen and so many people who come to the meeting also participate in PDM every year, I don’t think it is a good idea to hold the meeting on that day. I urge you NOT to select that day for the meeting. It is a real conflict of interest. This year there is an idea being floated to showcase the CSP residents from 2018. I would love to do a short talk about my residency for the meeting, but I will be opening my studio on PDM, as I have for the past dozen years. I really hope I don’t have to sacrifice one for the other!
Please take this in the cooperative spirit in which it is intended.

Thank you so much,
Robynn Smith

PS-I just went to the website to see who is on the Board, and I can’t find that information anywhere. Is it an over-site or is it intentional that there is nowhere to go to easily find that info? Thanks again, Robynn
